SBTG “Skeleton Comrade” Custom Nike Dunks
A few years back, sneaker customizing was quite a huge phenomenon where many sneakerheads even myself attempted to paint a sneaker to a color of my own liking. Of course I failed miserably but several artists including Mark Ong aka. SBTG had great success and has even made a career out of customizing sneakers. Since the year 2007, the “hype” on custom sneakers slowly died down as Hypebeasters began moving away from the crazy colored sneakers to more subtle and wearable sneakers. However, this hasn’t stopped Mark to continuously come up with creative and new ideas for his customs season after season. Here’s a look at his latest customs titled the “Skeleton Comrade” collection based on the Dunk model from Nike. This time, Mark decided to take a more classic approach in this design with the use of selvedge denim alongside hand painted graphics. These which come in black and blue will be limited to 12 pairs each and will retail for $600. Look for these to drop at the Royalfam store very soon.
